She wrote her PhD thesis at Utrecht University and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) for the project 'Activating Senior Potential in Ageing Europe' (ASPA); a research project within the Seventh Framework Program of the European Commission. Her PhD thesis consists of articles on the topic of employers’ recruitment and retention behaviour towards older workers.
Current research interests include: changing labour markets, non-standard work arrangements, self-employment, multiple jobholding, quality of work, technological developments, social security, personnel strategies and employers’ behaviour. Experienced in quantitative and qualitative research methods among workers and within organisations.
