Earlier this month, at the Annual Conference of the Stichting Ontwikkelingen Mededingingsrecht, our former LLM students European Competition law and Regulation Lousine Hovhanisian and Mia Monas have won a shared 2nd prize for their LLM Theses.
Thesis prizes for Amsterdam Law Students

Mia’s thesis, titled ‘‘Legal Sci-Fi’ - Interaction between algorithms, AI systems and competition law in the e-commerce sector’ was supervised by Joe Gote.

Lousine’s thesis, titled ‘Access to Competitively Sensitive Information of the Target Company: Ancillary to Corporate Transactions or a Violation of Article 101(1) TFEU?’ was supervised by Prof. Rein Wesseling.

The aim of the Stichting Ontwikkelingen Mededingingsrecht (Foundation for the Development of Competition Law) is to draw attention to developments in competition law and policy in the Netherlands. That is why the Foundation awards three prizes for the best master's theses in the field of European and/or national competition law.
