The first Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition took place on 24-25 June 2016 and was hosted by the Hugo Sinzheimer Institute in Amsterdam. A year later, the competition was in Aarhus, Denmark. In 2018, the University of Cassino (Italy) hosted the third HS MCC on 14-16 June. The fourth HS MCC took place in 2019 at Hasselt University on 13-15 June, Belgium. In 2020 it was due to the COVID-19 pandemic that an online event was organized by Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2021 it was also an online event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, again organized by Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia.

About the competition
The Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition (HS MCC) is an initiative from five befriended lecturers in labour law. The aim of the HS MCC is to deepen and improve the knowledge of employment and labour law at the European level. It offers an opportunity to experience the operation of the European labour law in an as realistic setting as possible. It is yearly returning event hosted in another country every year. The first HS MCC took place in Amsterdam in 2016. The most recent competition was in 2021, online due to the COVID 19 pandemic and was organized by Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
